I see this happen a lot to small business. Mark’s Apple Orchard starts the business with their personal email address: MXXXK@abcglobal.net.

Mark gives this email address to prospective clients and business partners. When the business gets bigger and they have a website name, AppleYYYOrch.net, the owner finds out that it is not so easy to change email addresses, and if they change internet providers, their email they used to start the business may go away with the closure of their account.
The three big internet ISP say if you change to another provider your old email account will be cut. So, all those old potential communications will be as well, and if you try to sell the business with one of those ISP email addresses, MXXXK@abcglobal.net – then what do you do.
Create an email address that will follow you no matter what provider you use, and it will increase the value of your business. So, Mark will have an email address of MXXXK@AppleYYYOrch.net. This address is more secure and easily used in email and brand marketing promotions.

There are old customers that I have not done business with in a while that still email me questions or referral leads and they have my old providers address. When they communicate with me, I am sure to follow up with a call and email to let them know what my new corporate email address is. I have had my new address for 10 years!
For help with setting up these corporate email addresses, please call us. It does not matter if you’re a micro, small, or fast-growing business.
We can help you utilize your own email address, with your business name, and add value when you go to sell.
This is not a big-ticket item the cost is very reasonable. You may be thinking, “I’m not going to sell”, ok but what if you want to and someday the opportunity comes.
